ಹಾದಿ ತೋರಿದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮರೆಯಬೇಡವೋ ಮನುಜ ಮರೆಯಬೇಡವೋ.....ನಮ್ಮ ದಿಗ್ಗಜರಾದ ಹಿರಿಯರುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಸೇರಿ "ರಿಚ್ಮಂಡ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ" ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಇಂದಿಗೆ ೨೫ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆದವು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಬಹಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಭ್ರಮದ ವಿಷಯ. ನಮ್ಮಂಥ ವಲಸಿಗರನ್ನ ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸಿ ಒಂದೇ ಮಳಿಗೆಯಡಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಹಬ್ಬ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಮಾಡೋ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಿಗೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂದಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮಂಡಳಿಯವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.

ಹಚ್ಛೇವು ಕನ್ನಡದ ದೀಪ, ಹಚ್ಛೇವು ಕನ್ನಡದ ದೀಪ...
ಮೈಸೂರು ದಸರಾ ಎಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸುಂದರ...
ಬೆಳಕನು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದೆ ಬಂತು ದೀಪಾವಳಿ....
ದೀಪಾವಳಿ ದೀಪಾವಳಿ ಗೋವಿಂದ ಲೀಲಾವಳಿ....
ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಹಾಡು ಹೇಳಿದರು ಕನ್ನಡ ಒಲುಮೆ ಚಿಲುಮೆ ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಕಮ್ಮಿ ಆಗಲ್ಲ. ಬನ್ನಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈ ಜೋಡಿಸಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್ ೮ ನೇ ತಾರೀಕು ಶನಿವಾರ ರಿಚ್ಮಂಡ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘದ ಆಚರಣೆಯ "ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಹಾಗು ದೀಪಾವಳಿ" ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ಸುಮಧುರ ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ "ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಶಮಿತಾ ಮಲ್ನಾಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡದವರ" ಮಧುರ ಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನ ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಒಳ್ಳೆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಂಡು ಆನಂದ ಅನುಭವಿಸೋಣ. ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಬರುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನ ಕಾಯ್ತಾ ಇರ್ತೀವಿ.
